Steve Bartlett
Mr. Bartlett
has served as President of the Financial Services Roundtable since
June of 1999. Previously he served as the Mayor of Dallas Texas
(1991-1995), a member of the United States Congress (1983-1991)
and on the Dallas City Council (1977-1981). His leadership has been
recognized by a number of state and national organizations including,
the National Association of Manufacturers, National Federation of
Independent Business, Anti-Defamation League and Watchdogs of the
Treasury. He is a graduate of the University of Texas, Austin and
has served as an adjust professor and guest lecturer at the LBJ
School of Public Affairs

John Bateman-Ferry
Mr. Bateman-Ferry
is Senior Vice President and General Manager of Lee Hecht Harrisons
Rochester, New York office. Over the last twenty years, he has held
leadership positions in both for profit and non profit business
sectors; including a statewide human services organization and his
own career management and consulting firm. He holds a degree in
Management and Business from the State University of New York and
an honorary Ph.D. from Lemoyne College in Syracuse, New York for
outstanding community service and leadership. He serves as a consultant
and guest speaker to government and the business community.

Bradley
Bellacicco
Mr. Bellacicco
is the Executive Director of the Salisbury area Chamber of Commerce,
with over 750 member companies, on the Maryland Lower Shore. He
joined the Chamber in 1998 and is responsible for the forming the
Lower Shore Business Leadership Network. This was the first Chamber
to sponsor this type of employment advocacy group for people with
disabilities. Mr. Bellacicco holds an undergraduate degree from
The Citadel and a Masters degree in Systems Management from
the University of Southern California.

Peter Blanck
Dr. Blanck is
a Professor of Law, of Psychology and of Occupational Medicine at
the University of Iowa and the Director of the Law, Health Policy
and Disability Center at Iowa College of Law. He is a member of
the Presidents Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities.
Dr. Blank has authored a number of articles and books on the Americans
with Disabilities Act (ADA) and has received international attention
for his endeavors. He received his Ph.D. in Psychology from Harvard
University and his J.D. from Stanford Law School.

Valerie
Brooke
Mrs. Brooke
is a faculty member of Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and
is the Associate Director of Training at the Rehabilitation Research
and Training Center (RRTC) on Workplace Supports. She is also Project
Director for the U.S. Department of Educations Work Incentives
Transition Network and the Social Securitys Administrations
regional technical assistance center on Benefits Planning and Outreach.
She has authored a number of publications on disability and employment
related issues. She holds a graduate degree in Education from V.C.U.

Beth Buehlmann
Dr. Buehlmann
is the Executive Director of the U.S. Chamber of Commerces
Center for Workforce Preparation. Previously, she has held a number
of senior level positions that focused on education and workforce
development. This included serving as the Director of Federal Relations
for California State University and working as Senior Legislative
Assistant and Education Staff Director for the House Committee on
Education and Labor. She has taught at the University of Nebraska,
Illinois State University, and Nova Southeastern University. She
received her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Illinois
State University.

David Compton
Mr. Compton
is the Director of Occupational Health Services for Philip Morris
USA. He participates on the Greater Richmond United Way Homeless
Action Council and is a member of the Lieutenant Governors
Charter Business Roundtable on Employment of People with Disabilities
and the Virginia Business Leadership Network. He has presented on
workplace and domestic violence at local and regional conferences.
He holds degrees in science, medicine and public health.

Thomas Donohue
Mr. Donohue
has been the President and CEO of the United States Chamber since
1997.
During this time, he has been credited with revitalizing the venerable
business lobby, attracting new business members, strengthening relations
with state and local chambers, and significantly expanding the organizations
policy expertise, lobbying muscle and national profile. He is also
a member of the Business Advisory Committee of the Transportation
Center at Northwestern University, and President of the Center for
International Private Enterprise, which is dedicated to the development
of market-oriented institutions around the world. He holds a masters
degree in Business Administration from Adelphi University and honorary
doctorate degrees from Adelphi, St. Johns, and Marymount Universities.

Bruce Flynn
Mr. Flynn provides
support in the development of integrated health and disability management
programs through Watson Wyatt Worldwide Washington, D.C. office.
With over 25 years experience in disability management practice,
he has become a national leader on disability in the workplace.
Each year he oversees the Staying@work national survey which provides
data on best practices in the field of workplace disability management.
He is an Assistant Clinical Instructor in Rehabilitation Counseling
at V.C.U. and a member of the International Association of Rehabilitation
Professionals.

Lex Frieden
Mr. Frieden
is Senior Vice President, for the Institute for Rehabilitation Research
in Houston, Texas, Director of the Independent Living Research Utilization
Program and Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at
Baylor College of Medicine. He currently serves as President of
Rehabilitation International, working for equalization of opportunities
and the rehabilitation of persons with disabilities, and is a member
of the United Nations Panel of Experts on the Standard Rules for
Disability. He has received a number of honors including presidential
citations for his work in the field of disability. He has published
several books and papers on independent living and was instrumental
in conceiving and drafting of the Americans with Disabilities
Act (ADA). He holds a masters degree from University of Houston
and has been awarded a World Rehabilitation Fellowship to study
programs for people with disabilities in Europe.

Craig Gray
Mr. Gray is
the director of EmployAbility Programs and website operations for
the National Organization on Disability. He also serves as a consultant
on integrating business and disability. A former Paralympian, Mr.
Gray has been profiled on National Public Radios show All
Things Considered and is a frequent guest lecturer around the country.

Howard Green
Mr. Green is
the Business Liaison for VCUs RRTC on Workplace Supports.
In this capacity he works very closely with the local, state and
national Chambers of Commerce and the Society for Human Resource
Management (SHRM). He has over 25 years experience working with
individuals and organizations to promote the employment of persons
with disabilities. Mr. Green is a member of the Association for
Persons in Supported Employment (APSE), National Rehabilitation
Association (NRA), and the International Telecommuting Association
and Council.

Lieutenant Governor
Hager has served the Commonwealth of Virginia since 1997. Prior
to his election he served as the President or Chairman of more than
thirty boards and commissions that included Childrens Hospital
and the Leadership Metro Richmond. He also served as Director of
the Sorensen Institute of Political Leadership, the Virginia Chamber
of Commerce, and the Partnership of Urban Virginia. His philosophy
of community, partnership and leadership is prominent in his work
as Lieutenant Governor as he recruits new businesses to the Commonwealth,
creates jobs, promotes technology and protects Virginias mature
industries.

Judith Heumann
Ms. Heumann
is an internationally recognized leader in the disability community
and a life long civil rights advocate for disadvantaged people.
She currently heads her own consulting firm, Heumann and Associates,
Inc. During the Clinton Administration, she served as the Assistant
Secretary for the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitation,
within the Department of Education. Over the years, she has assisted
in legislation like the Individuals with Disabilities Education
Act (IDEA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). She also
helped establish the first public policy research think tank devoted
to disability issues, the World Institute on Disability.Leslie Hortum
Ms. Hortum is the Managing Director, at Korn/Ferry Internationals
Washington, D.C. office, heading up the firms association/public
policy practice. Prior to joining Korn/Ferry, Ms. Hortum spent 20
years in association management, and most recently served as Senior
Vice President of the United States Chamber of Commerce. She serves
on a number of boards including the Presidents Committee on
Employment of People with Disabilities, and the Washington Center
for Internships and Academic Seminars. She received her undergraduate
degree in Economics from Mary Washington College and attended the
Advanced Management School at the University of Virginia.

Terry Hueneke
Mr. Hueneke
is the Executive Vice President of Manpower, Inc. He is responsible
for a network of 1,500 offices located in North and South America,
Australia, Japan and Southeast Asia. Previously, he was Director
of Marketing for a schooling organization and Director of Advertising
and Sales promotion with the nations largest supermarket chain.
Mr. Hueneke serves on the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, the Milwaukee
Art Museum, and the Board of World Museum. He received his marketing
and business education from the University of Wisconsin, in Milwaukee.

John Kregel
Dr. Kregel is
the Director of Research and Associate Director of the RRTC on Workplace
Supports at VCU. In this role he coordinates the efforts of a research
team that investigates a wide range of issues related to employment
for people with disabilities. As a Professor of Special Education,
he coordinates the Urban Services Leadership Track School of Education
Doctoral Program. In 1996-1997 he presented papers at the National
Press Club and the Institute of Medicine, National Academy of Sciences
on innovative strategies for enabling SSI and SSDI beneficiaries
to return to work. Dr. Kregel has authored numerous publications
and currently serves as co editor of Focus on Autism.

Brian McMahon
Dr. McMahon
is Professor and Chair of the Rehabilitation Counseling Department
at VCU, and holds appointments in Psychology and Physical Medicine
and Rehabilitation. He is the founder and President of the Virginia
Counsel on Problem Gambling. He has received a number of awards
over the years that include, Outstanding Rehabilitation Educator
of the year from the International Association of Rehabilitation
Professionals, and the George N. Wright Varsity Award for Outstanding
Achievement by an Alumnus from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Dr. McMahon has authored numerous publications on employment and
disability related issues.

Susan Meisinger
Ms. Meisinger
is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for
the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). SHRM is a professional
membership organization with more than 165,000 domestic, foreign,
and international human resource professionals in business, government,
and education, that is dedicated to the advancement of personnel
and human resource management. Previously, Ms. Meisinger served
as Deputy under Secretary for the Employment Standards Administration
in the US Department of Labor. She is a member of the District of
Columbia Bar Association, and has served as a member of the Employer
Subcommittee of the Presidents Committee on Employment of
People with Disabilities. Ms. Meisinger received her undergraduate
degree from Mary Washington College and a law degree from the National
Law Center of George Washington University.

Patricia
Morrissey
Dr. Morrisey
is a senior associate with Booz-Allen & Hamilton, an international
technology and management consulting firm in McLean Virginia. There,
she oversees efforts to assist federal agencies with making their
electronic and information technology accessible and useable by
individuals with disabilities. She has extensive experience working
with both the Senate and the House, and contributed to the New Freedom
Initiative, as well, as the Ticket to Work and Work Incentives Improvement
Act. Her graduate degree is in Special Education from Pennsylvania
State University.

Jennifer
Childs Sheehy
Ms. Sheehy is
a Policy Advisor on the White House Domestic Policy Council. She
is responsible for coordinating the Presidents New Freedom
Initiative and other issues of interests to people with disabilities.
Prior to holding this position, she was Senior Policy Advisor for
the Presidential Task Force for the Employment of Adults with Disabilties.
She has received a number of awards including the Lauren Meany Spirt
Award from the Shake-a-Leg organization and the 1998 Woman
of Distinction award from the National Association of Women
in Education. Ms. Sheehy serves on the boards of the Microsoft Accessibility
Advisors, the National Rehabilitation Hospital Associates, the National
Conference on Community Justice, and the National Accessible Golf
Course Project. She received her graduate degree in Business Administration
from Georgetown University.

Wahlquist
Mr. Wahlquist
is the Executive Vice President and CEO of the American Staffing
Association in Alexandria, Virginia. Previously, he served as the
associations Vice President for Administration and Government
Affairs and directed the Government Affairs Department for Kelly
Services. Mr. Walquists contributions to the staffing industry
have been recognized by staffing associations throughout the United
States and Canada. He is the author of several articles on regulatory
issues affecting the staffing industries and regularly addresses
business associations at conferences.

John Williams
Mr. Williams
has been a professional writer for 30 years and is a weekly columnist
for Business Week Online Magazine. He also writes a weekly column
for the National Organization on Disability, Closing the Gap. He
frequently writes on the benefits of assistive technology for persons
with disabilities. His column has won the Easter Seals Equality,
Equity, Dignity, and Integrity Award and the Stuttering Foundation
of Americas 2000 Journalism Award. Other honors include the
Charles Van Riper Lifetime Achievement Award for his work in writing
about stuttering and his leadership in promoting opportunities for
persons with speech impairments.

Paul Wehman
Dr. Wehman is
a Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Medical
College of Virginia and the Director of the RRTC on Workplace Supports
at VCU. He is internationally recognized for his service and scholarly
contributions in the fields of Special Education, Psychology and
Vocational Rehabilitation. In 1990 he received the Joseph P. Kennedy,
Jr. Foundation Award in Mental Retardation and in 1992 he received
the Distinguished Service Award from the Presidents Committee
on Employment for Persons with Disabilities. He is the author of
numerous publications and Editor of the Journal of Vocational Rehabilitation
published by ISO press.
